The Story of Casa Culinaria - The Gourmet Inn
A Boutique Santa Fe Inn Created Around Hospitality, History, Art, and Culinary Experience
Casa Culinaria – The Gourmet Inn was founded in 2016 with a simple but ambitious vision: to create a boutique hospitality experience in Santa Fe, New Mexico that felt intimate, beautiful, personal, and deeply connected to the spirit of place.
Set within three historic homes near the Santa Fe Plaza, Casa Culinaria - The Gourmet Inn was imagined as more than a traditional hotel. It was created as a retreat where architecture, gardens, interiors, food, art, and hospitality could come together in one distinctive experience. Over the years, the property has been carefully restored, curated, and refined, allowing each building, room, patio, and garden space to express its own character.

From the beginning, Casa Culinaria - The Gourmet Inn was inspired by Santa Fe’s unique cultural landscape. Spanish, Mexican, Native American, and European influences all form part of the city’s identity, and that same layered sense of history and beauty can be felt throughout the inn. The result is a property that feels both timeless and personal: a quiet sanctuary in downtown, yet removed from the pace of everyday life.
Every room at Casa Culinaria - The Gourmet Inn has been individually styled with a sense of warmth, comfort, and visual richness. Antiques, textiles, art, architectural details, private entrances, garden views, and intimate patios all contribute to the feeling of staying somewhere with soul. No two rooms are exactly alike, and that individuality is an essential part of the Casa Culinaria experience.

The culinary identity of the inn is also central to its story. Casa Culinaria - The Gourmet Inn was created with the belief that breakfast should be more than a convenience; it should be a memorable part of the stay. Our Gourmet Brunch reflects that philosophy, offering guests a thoughtful and ever-evolving culinary experience inspired by seasonality, creativity, and the pleasure of sharing a beautiful meal.
The vision for Casa Culinaria - The Gourmet Inn was shaped by its founders, Carolina Cosignani and Manuel Lezcano de Orleans, whose international backgrounds, passion for hospitality, and love of cuisine, art, and design helped define the original character of the inn. Over nearly a decade, that vision has grown into a distinctive Santa Fe boutique hotel experience — one that now stands on its own as a place of beauty, welcome, and quiet refinement.
Today, Casa Culinaria – The Gourmet Inn continues to welcome guests seeking something more personal than a conventional hotel. It is a place for travelers who appreciate history, privacy, comfort, culinary pleasure, and the small details that make a stay memorable.
We look forward to welcoming you to Casa Culinaria - The Gourmet Inn, a Santa Fe retreat created with care and meant to be savored.
